| Emergency base is groundbreaking in the Ocean Beaches region |

January saw Amil Resgate Saúde opening one more base to respond to urgencies and emergencies, located in Piratininga, Niterói.
The base handles the clinical and pediatric areas, and has a total area of 1,000m2, with five emergency rooms and two consulting rooms. Among the examinations available are X-rays and echo-cardiogram, plus an inhalation, nebulization and plaster room. The address is Estrada Francisco da Cruz Nunes, 5,803.
"Quite often lives are lost when there is no emergency medical service in the region, and patients wind up taking around an hour to reach the hospital. We shall now be able to meet this demand, as we have various resources for stabilization, to enable the patient to reach Niteroi well", stated Leandro Reis, the doctor in charge of the new unit.
